A desktop crawler and PageSpeed testing in one

No web dashboard, no Chrome to install — and your crawl data never leaves your Mac.

Crawl & audit

Crawl your whole site in seconds

Follow every internal link and see the technical picture instantly: response codes (2xx/3xx/4xx/5xx), redirects and redirect chains, indexability with reasons, titles, meta descriptions, headings, canonicals, alt text, hreflang, and structured data — with a live, prioritised issue list down the side.

Site graph

See your site the way search engines do

An interactive site graph maps your internal link structure, so you can spot orphan pages, over-linked hubs, and where authority actually flows.

SiteProwl interactive site graph visualising 29 pages and 406 internal links as connected nodes
Page speed

Real page-speed scores, tracked over time

Run Google PageSpeed Insights (cloud Lighthouse) on any page in mobile and desktop profiles. Watch Performance, Accessibility, Best Practices and SEO — and compare against your last crawl to see exactly what improved or regressed.

Page weight

Find what's actually slowing pages down

SiteProwl calculates each page's real weight — every image, script, stylesheet and font attributed back to the page — and flags the heavy ones, so you know what to fix.

  • XML sitemap generation + orphan detection
  • Google Search Console & GA4 merged into your crawl
  • Custom extraction (CSS or regex)
  • Redirect-chain analysis
  • CSV / JSON export

It's an annual subscription (£99.99/year) with a 7-day free trial, sold through the Mac App Store so Apple handles billing. Cancel anytime.

Do I need Google Chrome or anything else installed?

No. Crawling is built in. Speed tests use Google's free PageSpeed Insights API — you just paste your own API key.

Where does my data go?

Nowhere you don't send it. Crawls run from your Mac and results are stored locally. Your PSI key and any Google account tokens are encrypted on-device. SiteProwl has no servers collecting your data.

Which macOS versions are supported?

Recent versions of macOS.

Is there a Windows version?

Not yet — SiteProwl is Mac-first. Windows is on the roadmap.

Can I use it on client sites?

Yes — crawl any site you're authorised to audit.
